Off Season Feathers

When we're not looking for antlers, we're staying busy enjoying all of the great hunting seasons Maine has to offer. This year Gracie (our 14yr old) decided she wanted to hunt with a compound bow. That meant Stu and I were going to start hunting with bows too. It's been fun learning this new sport and spending quality time together. We quickly figured out we needed lighted nocks, after losing multiple arrows into the ground, trees, and wherever else they disappear to. Attached is a picture of Stu with his first goose he shot with his bow. OnX is his helper in this photo. We have high hopes that she'll be a great antler finding dog.... right now she's really enjoying retrieving birds, and sometimes eating them. We're now into whitetail season and grouse hunting. We'll keep you posted on new adventures.
