Brook trout and salmon are all starting to spawn. If you're lucky enough to find an area where this is happening, the site is quite impressive! Stu and I found brook trout spawning in a small pool and there were about 30 fish in a 15 foot by 10 foot pool. They were rolling over each other, swimming forward and back, and we were catching glimpses of their white stripes on the bottom of their fins. We'll bring the go pro next time. A locally tied grasshopper fly allowed us to hold one of the male brook trout, seen in our photo.
