The Joy of Easter

As we stuff eggs and hide them, it reminds us of all the work our parents did to make holidays special for us. All of this work was done to make us feel excited, surprised, and happy. Now that we're adults we can't rely on our parents to make us feel that way. As shed hunters, we get these emotions every time we find an antler. It's like Easter over and over again. Finding the antler and then the excitement of how big it is, and how new it is. The bigger the antler, the more drive we get to walk another 5 miles to find the match. This year we gave our kids a huge bonus in their final egg, comparable to finding a scoring Boone & Crockett antler, they got a Benjamin Franklin in the final egg. Here's a picture of our youngest daughter and her expression when she saw the prize!!
